Answers and options at timesof uncertainty
Kathy is a licensed Occupational Therapist, a licensed social worker, and a Certified Care Manager. She has over 30 years of professional clinical experience including mental health, community health, adult rehabilitation and long-term care. Whether you are just seeking professional consultation, a little support,or ongoing care, she's got you covered. When you call Sage Advice, you will speak with Kathy, every time.
When working with older adults and the people that care for them,
she has a soft touch and a sense of humor. Kathy doesn't "manage" clients, but creates an alliance and together we set priorities and goals. Each situation is unique and usually involves creative problem-solving to find the optimal solution. Sometimes there are urgent situations that require prompt decisions, but ideally we will take small steps to ensure informed decision-making for health, maximal independence and improved quality of life
Sage Advice does not own or operate any direct care
agencies ensuring there is no conflict of interest. Their promise
is to find the right personalized care in the most cost-effective manner. Kathy receives no compensation or incentives for referrals.
Our recommendations are conflict-free and without bias.
As an independent practitioner I have minmal overhead and the savings are passed to my clients.
OTHER WAYS KATHY SAVES YOU MONEY:
Preventing problems (e.g., hospitalizations, institutionalization)
Reviewing available programs and benefits There may be insurance coverage or benefits the client is eligible for that the family doesn't know about or do not have the training to apply for (e.g., long-term care insurance, VA or pension benefits).
Reducing time taken off from work There are tasks, such as medical advocacy, that family members sometimes perform. Those tasks can wreak havoc, however, on the schedule of midcareer professionals.
Reducing travel for long-distance caregivers For the who live more than an hour away, coming to address a parent's issues can get expensive. If a long-distance daughter or son can save one trip a year, and lost income while away, the financial savings become significant.
Removing the extra costs associated with family discord When working with Kathy there may be less likelihood of of time spent on the phone with quarreling siblings rather than getting work or other family obligations taken care of.
Kathy firmly believes in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, without regard for age or ability, gender, or cultural or religious practices.
She is respectful and sensitive to LGBTQ needs.

Kathy Kemp more than fulfilled our family needs. She anticipated every decision that had to be made concerning our aunt's health and well being. Kathy is a dedicated service provider, highly professional and empathetic. Our aunt thrived under Kathy's care and supervision. Our family, even though thousands of miles away, was granted peace of mind. Every aspect of our two year relationship with Kathy was excellent. Because of
